ESPN's baseball coverage has really taken a dive in the last few years. I love Schulman, but Schilling is nearly unlistenable. It's even worse when you have to try and watch him on Baseball Tonight.

I long for the days of Sunday Night Baseball w/ Jon Miller and Joe Morgan, and Harold, Peter on BB2N. I feel sorry for Karl Ravech for having to deal with the swill.

Miller and Morgan were fantastic.

This is still a lot better than FS1.

@cf3 MLB - Network is great. Sadly, I don't have it.

@_Fan - Simply the best they were.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

Greinke homered today. He has more than Infante and the same as Rios in the HR department. Bumgarner has hit more than both.

Last night, Rany tweeted out that he was excited imagining the lineup with Cain and Gordon in there (for Orlando and Rios). You have to think this is the end for Rios. Infante has already been benched, which is tough on a Ned Yost coached team. Watching Dyson last night, man he's just the perfect #9 hitter against RHP. And his D is great, even with the 9th inning error yesterday. I'm afraid Orlando gets left off the postseason roster, and we just end up with a Rios/Dyson platoon

I haven't even watched a ton of games, but from what I've seen Orlando's value far outweighs Rios'. Rios' power numbers are lol bad, especially for his size.

I'm hoping we're watching an open tryout the rest of August.

Hos
Morales
Zobes
Escobar
Infante
Moose

Gordon
Cain
Dyson
Orlando
Gore

Cueto
Ventura
Volquez
Duffy

Medlen
Herrera
Davis
Holland
Madson
Hoch
Morales
Zimmer

We just witnessed something special that inning.  He easily could have lost composure after that passed ball and he came back and mowed them down.

i like schilling.  a lot.  i don't care much for this group of three, a least tonight.  they're just rough ridin' around too much.  schilling is good when he's being analytical, not when he's trying to be jokey, goodtimey.

This is good, when he breaks stuff down I really enjoy it too.

I'm not enjoying it so much. At times it seems they forget they are broadcasting a game.

That's what I want to see....

After walking the #9 hitter on 4 pitches (his only bad faced batter of the game), he comes back with 2 great placed strikes to the lead off hitter. Inning over.

When did Food Network begin broadcasting MLB games? I usually enjoy listening to all of these guys, but this awful.

I don't like wins as a pitcher stat.... but if we're going to keep it as a stat, Yordano deserves one. Run(s) please

i like that all the royals pitchers are now experimenting with delivery quirks and quick pitching.  but i think schilling is going to be right, it's not going to work for them.  good to try it out and see, though.
