I'd suggest enjoying 2015, because it isn't going to be like this again

Who is going to challenge us for the division next year?

maybe he just means that it won't be as fun and the royals won't be as good.  not that they won't be competitive.

So we aren't bringing everyone back?

not the mid-season guys, and not guthrie and not rios, and prolly not holly, and maybe not some of the newer relievers.  but maybe everyone else!

If we could sign Guthrie for like a hotdog and size small soda I'd like to have him back

cueto is one of the "mid-season guys".  we'll just have to wait and see on gordon.

I'm hopeful that we get Gordo signed again for more than one season, and Cueto would be a huge get.

What i mean is there is a 0% chance Cueto is back in 2015, and while there is a chance we'd sign Gordon or Zobrist, no way we sign both. Its likely that now until whenever our season ends will be the best roster we have under this current window of time. I'm not saying we won't win the division next year, or a World Series in 2017 even, but the best thing is to enjoy this year to its fullest. Wondering if Cueto might sign is a waste of energy.

i think they have to pay him 3.2 million to go away.  so maybe offer him 3.5 million to not go away?

the good thing about guthrie, is unlike every other pitcher on the planet, he never hurts his arm and shoulder areas.

but they were going to the post-season without cueto and zobrist.  resign gordon, replace rios with dyson and do what they do with finding scrap heap pitchers and they should be able to keep it going another year.

Agreed. My point is I'm trying my darndest to soak up every second of this current version of the Royals

I would imagine in this case, it will be 2 weeks, give or take.

I wonder how much more money the Royals will make this year averaging 9500 more per game in attendance? Seems like it will be a lot.

It's only been 39 days since his injury. This is insane.

I wonder if they'll have him DH to start or just stick him in LF right away. Getting his timing at the plate is more important IMO.

Is that something like 81 x 40 x 9500 =  31 million? I could be mocat'n that tho.

It's not just 9500 extra tickets per game. Parking is ~$12 and beers are ~$7. Also include merch sold in The K, as I'm pretty sure teams keep revenue from their own stadium shops.

I bet it's closer to $50M.

Sept 1 we start a home series vs Det.  IMO that should be the earliest he should play.  That would be almost exactly 8 weeks off.

I think for most Of Sept, you won't see him playing both ends of a Night/Day games back to back. I also wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't play 3 straight games the first 2-3 weeks of Sept.

ESPN's baseball coverage has really taken a dive in the last few years. I love Schulman, but Schilling is nearly unlistenable. It's even worse when you have to try and watch him on Baseball Tonight.

I long for the days of Sunday Night Baseball w/ Jon Miller and Joe Morgan, and Harold, Peter on BB2N. I feel sorry for Karl Ravech for having to deal with the swill.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

I haven't watched BB2n consistantly for awhile. I prefer MLB Network in the evenings. My biggest beef with SNBB on ESPN is the strike zone square with moving lines.
