Aside from the rogue ant and obvious melanoma that looks delicious.
Why is everyone hating on the Royals this year?

Had the great pleasure of attending today's game. The last 2 innings were the most fun I've ever had at a Royals game.

I think it was very clear the ball slipped from Herrera's hand on that pitch. I mean he missed him.

Its so fun to be a fan of a team that is good, has fun playing together, and plays with a chip on their shoulder, especially after the disaster that is K-State basketball right now. Who knows how this season will finish, but I needed this start from the Royals. So far this is a blast and I don't care that seemingly everyone else hates us or that the baseball purists dorks don't like how we play.

At one point today we only had 3 opening day starters on the field. We beat those crap faces with our JV team.

The baseball purists should love us. We play an older form of baseball than the rest of MLB and it's awesome that we are so good at it.

To be fair, by "baseball purists dorks" I probably just meant kietz. My goodness that guy. But I know lots of baseball people think our guys celebrate too much and stuff like that, which just seems dumb.

Its tough for old school baseball guys. They love that we advance runners with sacrifices, and don't strike out, and don't hit homeruns (too flashy) but hate that we party 24/7/365 and have a bunch of guys with personality. So many baseball guys are obsessed with Joe Dimaggio (who NEVER showed emotion! just played hard with his head down) and honoring the game. This team embodies the KC spirit of Jackie Robinson and Satchel Paige. Atheletic guys with flare who love baseball and winning.

As Townie said, those last two innings were probably as much fan as I've ever had at a Royals game.

I'm going to my 3rd of the year on Tuesday.
