Just saw A-Rod blast 3 hr in one game Sat. night at the K.  About 50/50 Royals vs Yankee fans.   :barf:

So last night gets rained out and instead of playing an afternoon/evening doubleheader today, they go for the 6:10 and 1/2 hour after the first game ends doubleheader.  First game, of course, goes to 11 innings.  2nd game will start at 10:10 pm.  Will be real easy to pick up a souvenir foul ball by about the 3rd inning of that game.  Should end sometime around 1 am.

4 for 6, 4 runs scored, 2 HR (both in same inning), 11 RBI

I guess I have a hard time letting go of hating Glass for the early years OR hating those small-timers who defended Glass in the early years.  Maybe Glass isn't the worst owner ever anymore, but he sure as hell used to be.

They tried this a few years ago naming them the "Golden Spikes"   Only lasted a year or two.

Personally, that's a terrible name, with "chasing" giving the impression of "following" or being behind.  But what else do you expect from this org.

When it comes to minor league baseball teams, the weirder/more unusual the name the better.  Those teams make a nice chunk of change from online sales of apparel and weird stuff sells.
