Man, I am too. I was so hurt last night.  From being down and watching bumgardner go inning after inning, mowing us down. To the hit by Gordo I jumped to my feet and thought, the wife is right, this is destiny.....to being totally crushed w/ Salvy's at bat......I could imagine Salvy crushing one into the left field winning the whole thing off of their stud.....

I am just curious as to what changes are going to take place next year.  We need some more power, we need some relief for Salvy.  We just need a better "bench" all the way around.

Biggest FA addition we can get is someone who will teach our mongoloid catcher the difference between a ball and a strike. It's amazing how far he has regressed in 3 season.

"I knew Perez was going to want to do something big," Bumgarner said. "I had a really good chance, too. We tried to use that aggressiveness and throw our pitches up in the zone. It's a little bit higher than high, I guess."

Feel free to criticize the team, and Sal's lack of pitch recognition. That is a valid complaint.

But don't ever again refer to him as a mongoloid.

No crap. I was going to say something, but try to avoid giving attention to this type of post.

IMO Kratz is fine for a backup catcher, we just need to use him more. We need RF (with power), DH, and a starting pitcher. If Billy's gone, expect Sal to DH probably once a week.

What about the Melk Man in RF?

Its a shame that if we were planning on stretching the bullpen like we did, that we didn't let Danny have a shot in the 3rd or 4th. H/D/H was wonderful, and unfortunately a little broken bat bloop, Infante's slip on the grass, and Panik making a great double play on Hosmer were the difference. But that's baseball.

Did anyone else hear that Ned admitted Duffy had a ribcage injury from his last regular season start that limited him to 2/3 innings in any appearance in the postseason.

i didn't.  that explains so much.  so that mechanics guru was right about it being an issue with his core, but wrong on saying it was fatigue not injury (dumbass must of been influenced by hearing yost tell everyone he was completely healthy every other day).

that makes me feel much better.  injuries heal, weirdass mechanics breakdowns that last for over a month for no reason are scarier.

One pitcher can win a WS almost completely by himself.

it makes me feel better than the giants needed a pitcher to have the best world series any pitcher has ever had in order to beat the royals.  and that the royals hit the crap out of all their other pitchers (not each one, but as a group).  i don't know why that makes me feel better, but it does.

Yeah, none of the pitch F/x data shows any real difference in Duffy's velocity, movement, or release point, so I'm not real sure about that "expert" anyway.
:adios:

Yordano Ventura is just a cool ass dude. Showed up to the Tiffany Springs softball complex with his glove and Royals hat on and played/took pics, signed 200+ autographs for a bunch of kids. Love him.

I started looking at the K-State basketball schedule, made plans for the game on Saturday with the fam, and picked up some Chiefs tickets. Seems pretty easy.  :dunno:
