MIR stop trolling. We have the highest average attendance in 20 years and we'll beat it next year and you know that

Ugh, never accuse me of trolling ever again, it's absolutely the worst thing about this board. I mean TBT in the soccer threads is so pathetic, that's not my deal. I'm not really in tune with trolling but does it involve posting facts?

I'm happy you have the highest attendance in 20 years, I mean you should, big deal. 15,000 ANNOUNCED for a night game in September when you're a half game up when you haven't seen the playoffs in 30 seasons is embarrassing. KC is 25th in average attendance and 21st in capacity percentage in a season where you've been in the hunt all season.

i mean based on your post before, about it being worse than the rays and whatever and how the a's wouldn't allow it, you have to be trolling.

the a's have finished in first place 6 out of the last 14 years and are only averaging 1,500 more a game than the royals who haven't put a team in the playoffs since 1985 and have the longest active drought in mlb. i mean that's a troll, right? i mean, it's better than the alternative.

Oakland is 14th in capacity percentage and they play in what is easily the worst stadium in the league and may be the worst venue for it's sport in all of North America.

Baseball attendance is really dependent on pre-season season ticket sales. The season ticket base is ALWAYS a year behind the success of the team. Unfortunately, KC fans have been conditioned to go to T-Shirt tuesdays, buck nights, and fireworks Fridays. I wish the stadium attendance was higher, but it is what it is. Loyal Royals fans are amazing. I've been to 9 games so far, and plan on 3 more, which is about my capacity in this season of life. Most loyal fans are like me, and the city should be proud of averaging more than 23K for the season. And MIR, please, you know what you were doing. Put Sonofadaxjones on that post and it would make plenty of sense. You came over here expecting Royals fans to defend attendance numbers and attacked it looking for a response. You're a smart dude, and a good poster, but that was a punk move.

And Oakland has thousands of seats covered by a tarp because no one will buy a ticket to sit there.

and kansas city has beat them in attendance four out the last six years despite the fact that the royals haven't been to the post season in almost thirty years and oakland has been six out of the last fourteen.

so just what the eff are you even talking about? i mean do you even have a point, dax? cause i'd love to rough ridin' hear it, troll.

First of all I told you I wasn't trolling, I feel like you're calling me a liar.

That thing about season ticket sales is absurd, it's September and you are in a pennant chase. I'm trying to find the hard numbers but I think Houston has had a higher attendance increase since April than Kansas City, that's sorry. Why are you talking about the loyal Royals fans? I don't think I said a thing about the people there or people that go to games. We are talking about the 30,000 empty seats.

Also come on man, Oakland has tarps because they play in a 80,000 seat football stadium. That's a reason to praise their fans not criticize them. Safe to say that their attendance would be even better if they had a top 5 MLB stadium like The K.

Oakland averages 1500 more fans than us a game right now, with YEARS of more success. I hope we get to 30k a game, but it just isn't realistic right now. Attendance is not something I'm gonna get worked up about.

And I'm not calling you a liar, we defer on opinion often, but that doesn't mean I think you're lying MIR come on bud.

hey! should i go watch my team that has won their division almost 50% of the time over the last fourteen years? nope. the stadium is too big. just too big overall. i'll just stay at home and everyone should understand.

the royals with their shitty team and smaller stadium though? you mean that team that hasn't sniffed the postseason since ten years before college freshman were even born? my god you'd have to be a dumbass not to go.

and these are serious opinions that should be taken seriously.

JFC.  i just dont know how you justify all of this, you look at my soccer posts in the past, its about not liking soccer.  everyone gets that.  you come over after a royals win and crucify our fans for the attendance.  SKC had just lost, i get that, but you chose to post in the royals thread first(before i went to the soccer thread) and vent your frustration that your team didn't win.  i mean the time stamps are there, and obviously you had intent on continuing your royals bash.  how am i the one who started this? this hypocritical bull crap is old.

Hi Royals fans. Grats on your pennant chase and good luck. The news here in Des Moines said that there were only 17,000 fans at your game tonight. That's wrong, correct? Tell me that's wrong.

Good God. I'm no glass family apologist but, you Royals fans aren't giving much motivation to invest anything in the future. 15,000 what the eff? You guys are worse than freaking Marlins and Rays fans. That would never happen in Oakland.

Tough loss tonight, is this true?

Daris, why are you so angry about this? First of all I have no idea why you guys keep using raw attendance numbers. Oakland's capacity is 35,000. The attendance data that I see goes back 14 seasons, out of those 14 Kansas City hasn't had a better capacity percentage since 2011 and they have only had a better capacity percentage 4 years out of the last 14 (08-11).

Are you seriously contending that the stadium doesn't have a severe effect on attendance? I'd point out the percentages of Minnesota, Milwaukee, Colorado, Watshington, etc. Cincinnati and Pittsburgh definitely didn't see their attendance increase after they moved out of their dumps.

For one, I have no end game. Two I am not a fan of soccer.  I am sorry it actually cut you, I only meant for them to be trolls. From what seven said I was terrible at it.

The only reason I posted in the soccer thread today was because you had posted in the royals thread first.

If it bothers you when I post in the soccer thread, just say so. No need for this cryptic bullshit.  We are all men here, might as well act like it in these cases.

Why in the world would capacity attendance be relevant, especially in a stadium that gets to tarp off seats that it knows it has a low probability of selling?  Why not % of people living within a certain distance or some other arbitrary stat?
