Colon

Valencia can play 2nd as well if he had to.

Billy is the complete opposite of clutch and has lost the small amount of power he had (he should have hit last night's ball over the wall).  He is past his peak.  When Aoaki comes back, we will have our outfield rotation in place and Ibanez could even rotate with Colon as DH.  In the last 10 games, Billy has 1 RBI 5 walks, and 10 SO.  He has 9 hits in the last 10 games, and all but one (a double) is a single.  I cringe every time he comes to the plate with someone on base.  I should get excited when our DH steps to the plate with RISP.....but nope....doesn't happen.  Billy won't be in KC next year unless he has a lights-out 2nd half of the season.  I just don't see that happening.

It would also help if our team stopped swinging at balls in the dirt but that is a different convo.

idgaf, call someone up from omaha, dyson, i don't care, someone who gets the eff on base. better yet someone who hits for power.

butler is 9th on the roster in OBP and 11th in SLG, who pays a dh to perform that way?????

Ibanez should be like within a 20 ft pole of the batting order. We don't know enough about Colon yet.

Yeah lets call up our power hitting, on base machine, speed demon, clutch hitter from Omaha. Then we can all just party.

Yup. I mean, I've always thought Dayton and Ned aren't the brightest, but the fact that they keep sitting on that 40-HR guy in Omaha instead of calling him up to replace Butler really takes the cake.  :curse:

I think this is goE'ing, so I'm not going to take the bait and reply to it. I mean, it's goE'ing, right?

Billy's been bad but even when he was good Billy hate is completely overblown. Most hitters on the team suck, and he'll be gone next year anyway. Really curious to see who 2015's scapegoat will be

I feel bad for Billy. He has been the team's best player for 4 different losing seasons, just waiting for the team to fill in around him. Now that we have a good team, he just forgot how to hit.

I also feel bad for Dayton. 100% of Royals fans would have called Billy the Royals most dependable and consistent hitter (albeit flawed, not enough power, slow, etc). So Dayton gets the team together and now Billy is in decline. The timing of building a team from ashes is just maddening.

i mean look at 2012 Billy and not get a massive royals rager:

first off he played in 161 games. 614 AB, .313/.373/.510, 29 HR, 107 RBI

Yes mocat nailed. I (unlike slucat and his brilliant 4 year old) am rooting really hard, albeit in vain most likely, for Billy to get hot even if just for a month or so. Unlike Greinke (yeah he didn't have the options Zack had, whatever) Billy has always wanted to see it through in KC and be a part of a winner. And frankly, if we have a chance to make the playoffs or go farther, Billy HAS to hit. So quit being dumbasses and root for him to do well the rest of the season. We'll all say thanks and good luck when he moves on in the off season.

he isn't wrong bud. unfortunately, billy has earned a demotion of some sort. also unfortunately, so has hos.

even more unfortunately, we don't have viable replacements.

read slucat's posts. his solution is "IDGAF! ANYONE!" to who should replace Billy. If there was a better option I'd sign up for it. Also, slucat is a dumbass who can't catch on to slimz being a stud.

yeah Tom Brady can hit that big touchdown pass but what does he do while the rest of the team is sprinting to the end zone to celebrate? he hobbles down the field like an idiot.  :curse:
