You've never witnessed him rant about how much he hates KC, the midwest, and playing for the royals. All he wants is to be back in California.

shields is the same.  no one cares because he's good.  hell, i grew in kansas, live in ca and would move home in a second if it wasn't for my job.  it's normal.  it's stupid to care about that.  care about whether he can hit or not.

The point I meant to make is that his shitty attitude might contribute to his lack of production to date. Him buying into the fact that fans here would love him if he was a .250 guy getting 25 and 80 per season while maintaining his slightly above avg defense. Him wasting energy and focus on prefering to be in CA isn't going to help him get back there...at least on a MLB roster.

I agree that no one would care about that if he was producing. Perhaps if he was kicking ass he'd be so embraced by this city that he'd fall in love with KC. Who knows?

Do you honestly think that he is focusing so much on living in California that his production is suffering as a result? Like, did he fly to San Francisco yesterday evening to check out houses, or what?

i see your point.  but i don't think him wanting to live in ca is evidence of a shitty attitude.  it could just as easily be motivating for him.  or completely irrelevant and just something to bitch about with friends.

i don't think him sucking is evidence of a shitty attitude either.  i'd guess the correlation between sucking and shitty attitudes is much weaker than the correlation between sucking and lack of talent.

I wish we could dump Butler and find a 3rd baseman who could hit in the .240's...man, that would be a dream, let yourself imagine where the Royals would be.   :excited:

Also, I'm in love with Dyson.

Do not give up on Butler. I have an A+++++ source that he has started a new morning workout routine as of Tuesday, and since starting that routine he is hitting .428.

I heard the same thing!

my best friends sister dogsits for billy and overheard him telling his wive about it at the pool and my best friend is also somewhere in this story. can confirm!
I think what my friend Mitch is trying to say is that true love is blind.

Do the boys in blue make any trades this year? Who do you think is most likely to go? Billy would be a good one to dump but who is going to want his $10.5MM or whatever he's set to get next year? I think you hold James unless we have an awful stretch and can get a good prospect or two from a team poised to make a big playoff run. If Chen gets back and throws well in the pen do you trade Holland and put Wade as closer?

IMO, we'll see trades if (1) we're out of serious contention in early to mid-July, or (2) we're in serious contention and need to supplement the roster for the stretch run.

There are some trades that only make sense in a #BID scenario whereas there are trades that might make good business sense regardless. JUST WIN 'EM ALL, THO!

Hey guys, I know we're having fun in both awesome World Cup threads, but I need some help. How can we convince the Royals to quit these college days? I saw Wichita State Day at the K is coming up and its like, really? Wichita State? They are captains of loserville. Royals really work hard to make themselves look small timey in a lot of ways.

They should really align college night with shitty opponents. It seems like giveaways should be to entice fans to come to games that they would not normally attend.

See, I don't know. I'm less likely to go to a game vs an awful opponent if I'm aware that a bunch of WSU or Nub fans are going to be there.
