The Royals need to trade for a power hitting OF.

Likely. Who is the trade bait?

Who is the Royals best prospect?

The Royals has one of the best pitching staffs in the league, but a lot of that is boosted by great defense. They have an inept offense and zero power. I don't feel like getting rid of even quality MLB arms on the current staff should be out of the question. Maybe they go prospects for power bat from a non-contender, but you have to give something to get something and trading an arm for a bat to another contender may be what it takes.

They just got Aoki, and Gordon is a man in left. That leaves center field with the always-injured Cain and non-everyday Dyson. There really isn't a ton of power in center field in the majors right now, or really in the entire outfield for that matter.

Trout, McCutchen, Jones, Gomez, Crisp (:blank:), Choo aren't going anywhere. The only "CF" with reasonable power not on a contender is Will Venable, and he's an aging dude who had a really late break out year with the Padres. He might be available.

They'd probably have to just look at other OF positions and put either Gordon or Aoki in center? The defense will suffer, but they need offense. Giancarlo Stanton, Chris Carter, Dominic Brown, Jose Bautista are guys that fit the mold. What would KC have to give up for them? I dunno. Those guys are all on crap teams. The rest of the quality guys are on good teams and would be harder to get imo.

They need to give up on Butler, trade him, injury prone Cain, Guthrie or Chen and try and get that Stanton outfielder and move Duffy to starter.

You can't get anyone good without giving up something good. Prospects to crap teams, or MLB studs to contenders. Gut and Chen aren't worth crap. The only untouchables offensively are Gordo and Sal. All the pitchers should be an option.

Hos and Escobar aren't going anywhere either, and nor should they.

This. Then trade Brett Hayes for Mike Trout as long as we're living in a candy house on gum drop lane and have a pile of magic pixie dust to make things happen that will never happen.
