when a pitcher lays down six scoreless, the position players have a moral obligation to provide a win.  that's just what i believe.

God damn right they do.  As does the bullpen.

We're going to win at least 1 playoff series.

If it's a 3 game series and we line up Ragans/Lugo for Games 1&2 with Wacha coming out of the pen potentially I like our chances.

When the Royals make the playoffs they go to the World Series. There's 30 years of history to back me up. Not sure why this year would be any different.  :dunno:

There are 11 more wins out there for the taking I think.   Hopefully the astros sweep Cleveland to end the season.

4 of the last 5 series against NL teams (including 3 straight to finish the year) seems weird, no?

1.  just make fermin the starting catcher already.  salvy can still hit, but he can do that at 1st/dh.

2.  at least the goddamn twins are losing too.

and that makes six scoreless for lugo on that ridiculous little field.  imo, quatraro should not try to squeeze a seventh from him.

quatraro didn't listen to me, so it ends up as seven scoreless.  maybe the best game lugo has pitched this year.

Royals’ run differential vs the rest of the AL playoff field: 0

Royals’ record vs the rest of the AL playoff field: 21-23

They have a chance to finish the season 22-23 with a positive run differential against their playoff competition tomorrow. That’s pretty darn good.

This is for the haters giving them a hard time for playing the White Sox 16 times or however many times they played them this season!  :shakesfist:

a win woulda been nice, but hard to be too disappointed with great defense and good bullpenning on a day when god is against you.

probably just about closes the door on any chance of catching cleveland, though.  wild card it is.

Yeah, today went as well as you can expect it given just everything.

final 15 game pod starts today.  win this one and it's basically impossible to miss the playoffs.  lose it and they're probably in too, but a win virtually guarantees it.

I think they can realistically take 10/15 during this stretch.
