Like every other position (except CF), they have a lot of exciting young SP's. If one of them sucks or gets hurt they can replace them with another.

I don't expect a winning record. I'm excited that a lot of the guys we'll see this season will be a part of the next winning franchise.

last year the royals started off hot at 16-9, then after 55 games found themselves at 29-26. pretty good!
but then the next 37 games they went 8-29. pretty hard to suck that bad, wow!
the final 70 games they went 37-33 to end up at 74-88.

That 11 game losing streak I remember well and was basically what doomed the season, that and then following it up like 2 weeks later with an 8 game losing streak.

Outside of that the rest of the season was ok to good

It's also hilarious that when Grienke left last time he said he didn't want to go through another rebuild, which is exactly what they are in the middle of now.
