I'd have an really damn high price tag on him going into the deadline and again this offseason.

But think you take the best offer available before the deadline next season (if you still have him).

Keeping him beyond the deadline next year would feel reckless to me.

I had the pleasure of listening to this part of the game on the radio and as per usual Denny's inflection never changed.  In fact I could have sworn he said Bauer tossed the ball up onto the netting behind home plate??  The only time I caught on this was more significant is when Ryan said something like "And Francona follows Bauer into the tunnel...." or something like that.
