Yeah, very similar to 2013 (not saying next year will be our 2014). Eliminated late late in the season. Still nice to have played "relevant" baseball in game 156.

I'm legit happy for the Twins. There's a lot of other teams out there that I'd hate to see be in there. Their story is fun. especially after they bought and then sold and got it.

If a free agent who rejected a qualifying offer signs a contract that is worth at least a guaranteed $50 million in total value, and his previous club is one of the teams that receives revenue sharing, said club will be given a compensatory pick immediately following Round 1 in the next year's Draft. If such a club loses a free agent for a contract worth less than a guaranteed $50 million in total value, the club will receive a compensatory pick after Competitive Balance Round B (which follows the second round).

Hosmer has a chance at 3000 hits. 175 per year for 10.6 years and he gets there. His career average is 175 per 162 games. He's 27. If he lands somewhere good and wins another World Series or even multiple, then gets to 3000 he's a hall of fame player. Possible.

There's talk of Whit or Raul in CF. These are the things that make me think the Royals will be just horrific.
