Didn't watch.

I read that Worthlex had a chance to make a catch to end the game. Shocker, 9th inning of a game and he isn't doing anything to help the team. Another ball that goes off his Glove. Another play 2015 Alex makes but 2017 Worthlex doesn't. Lol.

Sdk, save it dude. Your boy is garbage. And unfortunately when a lot of fan favorites leave, we still get the trash next year

He wasn't close to full speed. He was using choppy steps trying to get ready to time his jump.

Worth-lex only helps us with his D. He had another chance tonight and failed. From 14-16' he maybe had 1 ball go off his glove without catching it. This is the 3rd time he has had a ball go off his glove just since Aug 1. In addition to that, he dropped a flyout at the wall (and was given an error). Surprise surprise that was in the 9th. That game Mauer overcame that 2-base error, getting 3 outs in a row vs Twins.

In April, May, June, everyone said Worth-lex isn't do anything with his bat, but his D is still a big asset. And it was. But.....that ship has sailed now too

this team is still pretty good just not playoff good. we've been spoiled and have been home to, and on the right side of, some of the most exciting ball in the history of mlb

Looking at it now, this is correct. But on July 30, we had gone 18 games over .500 ( 45-27) after the horrendous 10-20 start, and had just traded for Melky.

A confident team just got a slap on the butt, with a here you go Roys, another asset to your team. And we have just been a bad team ever since.

Guys I have thoroughly enjoyed talking Royals baseball for the last 5 years with you, as this thread became the most popular thread on this here blog. I will continue to enjoy talking Roys with you, but we all know it won't be the same for a while and even a playoff race approaching what we've had the last couple years is probably several years into the future. I guess it will be fun following no name guys come up and hopefully the next group of Roy studs, but these years of successful Roys BBSing have been some of the most fun times talking sports I've had on any blog (up there with Frank basketball, 11-12 FB, early 2000s FB).

Haven't followed the Royals as much this year. But I was driving home from my daughters VB tourney and listening as the 9th started and I knew..........I just knew.......Herrera was going to blow it...........

Curious to see what happens in the offseason. The winds are changing

Herrera didn't blow it as much as Cleveland just won it. That comeback reminded me of the Royals a few years ago. They wanted it more.
