Well, they've lost six straight and 9 of their last 11. One game above .500. Not much life left in this year's version of the Royals.

Ned leaves Wade in too long...Ned says in his post-game remarks that he's not going to try and figure out why the KCR's are so streaky because one day they'll come to the ballpark, break out on offense and go on "another roll"...Friday he says the KCR's are grown men and can figure all this out for themselves...Ned looked like he was in a panic today when he discovered no one was warming up in the bullpen when Wade was getting shellacked...

When I wake up in the morning, I hope to find out that Ned no longer manages the Royals.

Royals are now 7 games back in the W-Card race. Six game road trip starting Tuesday--three with the Twins, three with Toronto.

Two loser teams. Predictos? I'd say 4-2 or 3-3. Or worse. Just can't figure these guys out.

And Ned is still the manager.

Duffy being recalled tomorrow to take Davis' spot in the rotation, Davis headed for the pen. With Hochevar coming off paternity leave Wednesday, the Royals will have to take two players off the 25-man roster tomorrow.

Candidates? I'd say Will Smith and Getz...maybe Mendoza.
