Paulo can definitely play. I really liked our outfield tonight. Good defense, good offense. And Whit is a keeper. Salvy is a stud. The pitching was great. Good things all around.

The team is playing well. The biggest downside to Gordon's injury is it delays the eventual DFA'ing of Infante. I thought Ken had some good swings from the left side last night, and it was nice to see him hit one to the SS area against the shift. Pen looks deep, Duffy is gonna be our best starting pitcher by mid June, and Hosmer might have an MVP type season. Moose will starting donging again in no time. Combine that with the best manager in the MLB and this team just might be having a few champagne parties next fall.

Soria, Hochevar, and Herrera have 21 straight appearances without an ER between the 3 of them. The pen looks deep.

Royals:

4th in the AL for HR allowed, 5th in Ks, 4th in ERA, but 2nd in walks given up. We quit walking guys and we're fine on the pitching side. Without rubber arm, piecing together the 5th starter spot with Medlen/Gee/etc we should be fine. Its the dang bats as many have pointed out!

Has anyone ever considered a 4 pitcher rotation and just not showing up for the 5th game and just giving everyone the day off to party?

puts too much pressure on games 1-4 in any 5 game stretch.
