Got into a verbal altercation with a guy today at the stadium. We were back row of the front section of the lower deck, guy in the front row of the ball section tells me to sit down because I'm blocking his view. Mind you, there is one out in the ninth at this time, and I'm there with my parents and some other friends. Tell the guy he should appreciate supporting a winner. No joke, the guy called in the usher to get me and MiegeCat to sit down. After a lot of back and forth including me telling the usher he should be embarrassed for telling me to sit down at a game, much less the ninth inning of a one run game, everyone stood up for the last set bat of the game..

What I'm saying is that most Royals fans don't deserve anything.

Well, the Royals ARE owned by a piece of crap human being, and by going to the games you support every single decision he has ever made.

btw, i'd like to see d. matthews as a manager (not in kc).

- "lets go out there and keep it under two hours today, boys."

- "big win today, denny, how'd it look from the dugout?"

- "well we went a little long, but when you've got guys thowing balls, and other guys taking pitches, that"ll happen.  we'll work on it and see if we can shorten the game for the fans tomorrow."
LOL, yeah he had a blast about how narrow the home plate umpires strike zone was today early in the game.

This, among many other great attributes, is why 8MP is a great American and we are all lucky he is gE.

This last page tells me what the organization must think of Colon as the future at second.

Texas has a ridiculously easy schedule for the remainder of August. Oakland, who should fall back a bit from Texas closes August with a 7-game road trip to Baltimore and Detroit before hosting Tampa to end the month.    Cleveland's rather difficult schedule should put them out of the race by the end of the month.

Other than that we just have to hope that the AL EAST teams can beat each other up enough to give KC a shot.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

Jamey Carroll is a decent pickup.

Agreed. Decent glove, can play second or third, 12-year vet with playoff and World Series experience.

Yep, bring him in, hope he can provide that same spark Miggy has been. At worst he's no worse than Getz and Johnson. (Hopefully) all he costs is cash, maybe a C level prospect.

Jamey is a 12-year MLB vet, which tells me he has to be better than Getz and Johnson (although I think EJ is a good late-inning defensive replacement). When Miggy comes off the DL in two weeks, I'd prefer that the Royals option Getz and hang on to EJ. Getz may have a better bat than Johnson over time, but Miggy and Jamey have better bats than Getz, and EJ has a better glove than Getz.

for you twentyish posters, someday you'll be 39 and realize how ridiculous it is to have two 39 year old second basemen.

according to hundreds of shitty twitter jokes we traded for a relief pitcher so I think probably.

Yea he pitched in that 13-0 game. If I remember right he was the only Minny pitcher who didn't allow a hit.
