I've never understood the reasoning of overpaying for opening day, when there's 80 other games you can get into, for dirt cheap.

I wouldn't overpay for any other opening day but this one is a unique opportunity to celebrate the championship one last time with everyone.

i hate going to opening day. it's cold and it's packed with a load of 1 game a year idiots who use the baseball game as an excuse to get hammered.

i love watching it on television though.

I paid $100 for the wild card and zero $ for post season games this year. It's totally not worth it. Just met GB's whore and reps when I went opening day 5 years ago..

not to get nitpicky, but we have 80 home games total, and only 79 after opening day

We get there early, tailgate, leave around 1st inning, go to bar. I gave up on going in on opening day like 5 years ago. Amateur hour in there.
