6-0 Rays early!!

ned should take out anyone of relevance when the run differential between our lead and their deficit is greater than 15

he's already at 40+ pitches though, on two days rest.  so fun.

this is so great.  when you start a guy for the sole purpose of letting him get 200 innings for the year, how bad do things have to get before you take him out at 199?

welp, they took him out.  sorry buerle, we love you enough to let you pitch inning 199 and put us in huge hole, but not enough to let you get 200 when we probably don't really even have a chance at winning anymore.

the angels starter seems to really suck too.  i think he's pitching on short rest as well.

he has a string of 14 or 15 seasons with 200 ip.  he's retiring after this season.  seemed like kind of a stupid thing to care about, but if you care enough to start him, then you might as well let him get to it when you're already down 7-0 and the one seed doesn't really mean much anyways.

is baseball fixed and the announcers get word of the homeruns prior to the game?

he was throwing 88/89 the first two innings. hitting 90/91 this inning though.

it's interesting that his ineffective period seems to partially coincide with having less variation in velocity.

his pitch efficiency is pretty bad, 55 pitches through 2.  If we get another point here we should take him out after 3 and let some of our less certain relievers get some more live innings.
