CF3 there is a seedy underworld that i don't think you are aware of, and it's probably better if it stays that way

sys, let's break down oppo TV crews:

good: Minnesota, White Sox, Detroit, Boston pbp guy (fired now i guess), Baltimore

ok: Texas

bad: Milwaukee, Tampa, Cleveland, Toronto, Boston analyst guy (peter griffin), Cincinnati

don't remember: everyone else.

white sox are the best, then detroit unless the pitcher guy analyst is in for detroit.  i didn't like the boston team, spent too much time joking with each other and the field reporter.  yankees are ok, but you'd think they'd be better for such a huge market and contract.  toronto sucks, milwaukee sucks, cincy sucks.  i don't really remember most of the others.  st louis is as bad as it gets, tv and radio.  i can't stand their voices.

i don't like it when the announcers get too jokey.  the occasional quip about the play or something relevant is ok, but when they're going farther afield, i don't care for it.  also the stereotyped ribbing - hurhur, not like when you played, you sucked, remember.  hurhur, i was a pitcher so i like it when pitchers do well and you were a position player so you like the hitters.  all of that stuff sucks.

I'm still hoping for 100, guys!

17-7 doesn't seem likely right now though.

I'm guessing we will get to 96 or 97 wins.

losing three in a row at home to the white sox may be the craziest thing that has happened to the royals all season

unless there's more to the story than you know about, meaning it's not crazy at all if you knew the full story.

Oh.

Seems like it was just poor starting pitching combined with half JV lineups. I mean, many of the games lately have looked like spring training with the guys Ned has been throwing out there. Yes, I understand other teams are playing call up guys too.

for being a former player, it's odd how little he understands the game's rule book

that ball hit him!  i think it hit him!
ya but he swung first
but it hit him, i think it hit his ankle!
ya but he swung first so he's out
that ball hit him!

We need to start missing some gloves with these line drives and get Medsie some runs.

Pelphrey is RHP. He allows a .297 Ave. He has a 1.45 WHiP.  Just no excuse  to be scoreless thru 5 against him with 5 lefties in lineup vs him

I've got a great feeling about a rally in the 6th. If Esky can find a way to get on the lineup sets up nicely.

12 straight innings with no runs against these crap pitching Twins.    This after we scored a whopping 9 runs Friday-Monday.
