oh good grief

it's clearly the right move.  it'd be the right move even if zobzie didn't get on, just to sub dyson in as a defensive replacement.

the right move would be for both.  but since rios is likely to bat in the 8th, i understand why they aren't pulling him.

I don't like pinch running unless the game is within 1 run either way or tied. Keep your best players in the game.

Better players offensively or defensively?

So Dyson is obviously the superior defensive player?? I get Ned's thoughts on improving the range of our OF and defense ability when we are up two

I value both.

doesn't seem like it.  you're advocating keeping the better offensive player in, even though he's unlikely to bat again while the better defensive player helps you for two innings.

without even factoring in the value of the defensive player's advantage as a baserunner.

FYI if they tie up the game in the 9th, our lineup in extras features Rios, Infante, Butera, Orlando, and Dyson.

if you think holly is going to give up 3 runs, the right move is to not put holly in the game.  it isn't to manage all the other players as if you're going to give up 3 in the 9th.
