Plus he hasn't pitched since the 6th and only twice this month.

i guess they warmed davis up before the extra runs?  because otherwise pitching him tonight kinda pisses me off.
he hasn't pitched in a week, rest is good but he has to play occasionally
:adios:

he was warming at the start of the bottom of the 7th yes.

they should give relievers more time to warm up so managers don't have to guess ahead of time who they should use.

yeah let's think of ways to slow baseball down a bit

or ways to pointlessly waste resources teams pay millions of dollars for.

I'm just getting in to watch the last part of the game.  Other than the score, have I missed a good game or just an average outing?

He was gonna pitch regardless either tonight or tomorrow night.   If we don't need him tomorrow, then him throwing tonight isn't a big deal.

At the same time, I'm like Sys, it does suck to use him in a 5-1 game when there was plenty of "don't overuse the Pen" talk by fans/media last night.

Looking objectively, its pretty good it was a 5-1 game when we threw him so you guys can go ahead and shut up about it

there've been bright spots here and there, but the bullpen as a whole hasn't been that great over the last two-three weeks.

although davis kinda got jobbed a little by the ump not calling strikes and cain being weirdly positioned.
