back on topic, what would it take for Holland and Davis to be switched around? When Holland came in, I told my son that he would allow at least one baserunner, just didn't expect a dong.

Holland will have to cost them games (plural. Not 1 game, GAMES) before Ned will switch.

And what difference is it anyway? A run in the 8th isn't worth less than a run in the 9th.

yeah. people make too much of this. it doesn't matter much. in some ways the 7th and 8th inning guys are more important - they tend to pitch more innings.

the bullpen isn't quite as good as everyone hoped it'd be. oh well, it's still super good.

i think the bullpen as a whole is actually just as good or better than most thought it would be, but holland has been living on the edge pretty much all season and it's super scary.

guthrie never gets hurt. every other pitcher seems like they're constantly on the verge of blowing their arm apart and guthrie just keeps chugging along like he's out there playing catch.

toronto actually has a good chance of passing new york. they play like half their remaining games against each other. the royals should probably still shoot for the 1 seed.
