straight up idiotic to think that Davis, or Mendoza are more valuable, and hell granted a lot has to do with run support but Shields has only given us what? 2 wins?

Pitching as a whole has been more productive than he has. Hence the rest of the starting 5 rotation.

You can't lump in Davis with Santana just because they are both pitchers

We're a microwave society. We want it right now.
-- Trey Hillman, October 2, 2008

In our immediate gratification society, everybody wants to point fingers.
--Dayton Moore, September 4, 2009

It all goes back to what we all get judged on - wins and losses - because that's what counts in our world and in our culture of immediate satisfaction and what have you done for me today.
-- Trey Hillman, September 15, 2009

I know what the fans want. They want it, and they want it now. Instant gratification just doesn't work in baseball.
-- Ned Yost, May 18, 2013

and that's what they call a culture of losing.

nothing will change until the people at the top change.

This is definitely a change from the top down situation. I would be more than happy to see the Glass family sell to owners who know something about baseball and who won't tolerate losing. I remember when the Brett brothers tried to buy the franchise, but it sold to the Glass gang instead. I was so disappointed, and remain so today.

Would Cuban buy the royals if the MLB would let him?

I think Cuban would do just that. He likes challenges.
I wish the sporting group would buy them, they seem to actually give a f about winning and their fans, but I think they're too cool for baseball (and I get the feeling they don't like the royals/chiefs)

Heineman (President/CEO of Sporting Club) has come out and said he would be interested in them, but he respects Glass and Hunt too much to pursue them.
