so is that good or bad news?

It's questionable, IMO. Greg's stuff this season is not last season's Greg's stuff. Or his stuff of the season before.

Sounds like Greg doesn't know much about his stuff.

great example of how stuff does not mean the same thing as pitches

I really think those guys have trouble focusing unless they feel something is on the line. I don't blame Ned for getting him out there after 6 days off, but the struggle wasn't a huge surprise. Also, he'll be fine.

i was directing that at lib^7, who thinks stuff is a stupid term, and could be replaced simply by saying "pitches"

he won't be fine, unless _fan means something different than back to normal by fine.  he's has not been among the best three relievers on the team, and unless you think he has a physical condition that is due to clear up in the near future, there's no real reason to think he'll revert to being outstanding.

he's not likely to give up tons of baserunners and record 0 outs every time out, but he's also not likely to be worth what he's getting paid.  if they can move him for value, they need to jump at that chance.

12 save opportunities.... 13.0 innings, 3 hits 7 walks 1 ER

my border collie is very good at his job (retrieving frisbees). sometimes i ask my border collie to stand at the bottom of a tree and bark at birds, which is not his job. he is no good at this. it's like he can't even see the birds at all. however he is still very good at his job (retrieving frisbees), so i will not send him to the pound.

holland's job is to get batters out.  it's the same job, irregardless of the run differential.

This season has delivered.  Being in 1st the majority of the time, becoming the supposed thugs of the MLB, #DongTown, attendance and viewership records, Breaking the ASG, Cardinals phishing for passwords.

What a treat.

I'll be there in 240 EE. Were you waiting until Joe Blanton was lined up to start before pulling the trigger on a game? Because if so your wish is granted.

their pitcher tomorrow looks remarkably average, we should expect to win.
