My FedEx delivery guy told me that Hosmer and Moose hang out at the North KC hooters all the time (North KC is too WT for me, but I assume there's multiple??). He thinks they "rake poontang" out there.

Can anyone confirm?

Hoz lives downtown according to some...guess if you want to party at Hooters, that's the closest one to do it?

We're due for a real good Vargas start. I feel fantastic about tonight.

i really think vargas will continue to be a fine 4th starter. what's kind of exciting to think about is if guthrie continues to stink and we switch to young with 70 left.

He needed this.  Retired 17 of his last 19.  Control was better tonight.   3rd time in 5 starts he has allowed just 2 ERs and we have gotten the W in all 3.... so that's nice

Guys, can we pause and marvel at the bullpen. We lost the best closer in the AL and it didn't even matter like a tiny bit

How can we even try to put wade back in the 8th inning with a straight face?

That's a pretty good reason I guess. I also do kind of like crushing the other team's hopes completely in the 8th

6th madson - 1.29 era
7th herrera - 2.38  :surprised:
8th davis - lol
9th holland - lol

and that's not even mentioning young, frasor and the others.  and hochevar may be back sometime.  if a couple of starters were to only pitch 3-4 innings on a regular basis, the royals could not only handle that, it'd work to their advantage.  it's ridiculous.

today, when yost took out vargas after just 82 pitches and 6 innings.  that was like, a really great move that he needs to do a lot more of.

It was maybe the most proud I've ever been of Ned. Every bone in his bone was screaming, "Leave him in! Let him go for the CG!", but he did the right thing and turned it over to the most dominant bullpen in the (history of the?) majors.

Using this term right now makes me think, which Avenger is each of our bullpen guys?

I say Herrera is Thor- foreigner with the Hammer of the Gods (100 mph heat)

Holland= Captain America- former underdog, now a star

Davis= Iron Man- I don't know why but something about Wade reminds me of Tony Stark

Who's Hulk? Who are Madsen, Frasor, Hoch, etc?

Frasor is Hawkeye.

I'd like to suggest trading Holland for a bat, but our lineup is so chock full of studs, I don't know where you would put one.  Maybe if our 5th started spot still needs shored up by the end of June?

Until the starters are consistently going 6+ innings we need all of the bullpen guys.

I would suggest trading a guy like Pino, tho. He pitched 10.2 innings, gave up 7 hits/zero runs, and can't even make the roster when everyone is healthy!
