ALSO! BREAKING NEWS!

i had my first royals5 last night (see me in the lunchack thread for leftovers), and man oh man did it deliver! well not really because i got carryout. what did i have on it you ask? here is the rundown:

pep
'sage
bacon
olive
onion
pineapple

just because the royals scored more than five doesn't mean that you have to get more than five toppings. olive and pineapple?  :Yuck:
Wrong. Olives was a stud move. Nix the pineapple and add japs and shrooms and you have yourself an incredible pizza pie.

A lot of people are going to look really dumb (and GMDM really smart) when Bubba SuperStarling starts living up to his nearly limitless potential.

JGuts pitched well enough for us to win last night, our offense just crapped the bed. I would take 5ip 3r from him every time.

Yeah, and really IP is a key disappointing stat right now from our starters. Fortunately Young and Pino look pretty good (and possibly good options for 4/5 starters at some point if the wheels do fall off).

Innings per start:
Volquey - 7.3
Guts - 6.0
Duffy - 5.4
Ourdano - 5.0
Vargy - 4.7

Again, its early, but that's got to change. All these guys had between 6.0 and 6.3 IPS last year, so they can all do it. Of course for Guts (36) and Vargy (32) age could be catching up as well.

Yeah, that is the bigger issue right now. Its worth mentioning that Ourdano hasn't been pulled from a game this year. He left twice because of cramps and was ejected once.

Yes, that's a fair point on Ourdano. In the cramp games he was pitching well. The game he got tossed he was pretty bad though.

we need the Reds to tank so we can trade for Cueto.

You know who's gonna be some great trade bait? Paublo, I mean, he might be able to get us our new 5th pitcher.

he'd get back a broken middle reliever if we're lucky. I enjoy him as much as anyone but he's a 30 year old rookie

Guys, I have an idea, instead of having a 5th guys, Why don't we just have the bullpen pitch a whole game. Like everyone gets 2 innings to get the easy win.  :Wha:

what if i told you we already do that, except our "starting" pitchers are all just long relievers who take turns starting the game

I think we have the right amount. They are the reason our record is so good. Trading them away would be dumb. Maybe we should trade one of them if Hoch looks good when he comes back.

What's the word on kyle Zimmer?  Isn't he supposed to be a huge stud?
