he did have that scare last year

At this point i'll just assume he misses 2 years of the 5 due to injury. still worth it.

the royals already have him under control for those years. it's just a question of whether the 22 million would be more or less than the total he'd get currently, and how much injury risk either side takes or give up.

if they end up doing club option years, then it'd be more interesting.
