if we won today we wouldn't play again til friday.

is this true?  even if baltimore wins today?  i'd love to be able to unreservedly root for detroit to lose today.

no.  i guess not after looking closer.

I would've gone out there and got run.  Ausmus was very calm.

If the Orioles win today (up 2-0 in the 6th) Chris Davis will still have to miss 5 more postseason games due to his suspension. Buck Showalter will let the players vote on whether or not they want Chris Davis added to the roster when his suspension ends. If Davis is on the ALCS roster the O's will have to play with a 24 man roster.

baseball rules question.  on a super obvious double playable ground ball, is it against the rules for the runner on first to just stay on first and force the defense to only get a single out?

If they step on second before going to first he is out. If they step on first before tagging him, he would be safe.

even if he is standing on the bag at first, he's out if they step on second?  so runners have to advance no matter what?

Aoki is the most .gif friendly player in baseball. I'd love for someone to make a Nori highlight reel.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.
