I can't wait to head down to Busch-West Stadium in Kansas City this summer for the 3 game series vs. the St. Louis Cardinals. I'm still really rough ridin' bummed that we didn't sign Rick Ankiel; life will go on though.

<<<<< Yankees fan since they beat the Braves in the WS in the 90s. My grandparents were huge Braves fans (no idea why) and I thought it would be cool to root against them.

I don't care if it is preseason, hitting for the cycle in 4 innings is quite an accomplishment.

Royals’ Anderson hits for cycle and has seven RBIs

TUCSON, Ariz. (AP)—Brian Anderson(notes) went 5 for 5 with seven RBIs and hit for the cycle in the Kansas City Royals’ 24-9 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks on Friday.

Anderson, a Tucson native, hit a two-run triple in the first inning, a double in the second, a two-run single in the third, and a two-run homer in the fourth. He doubled in the fifth.

The Royals finished with 27 hits while the Diamondbacks had 12.

Royals starter Brian Bannister(notes) threw four shutout innings, striking out three and walking one.

The Diamondbacks? Billy Buckner(notes), a candidate for the rotation, allowed eight runs and nine hits in two innings. He struck out three and walked one.
