It's fun to win.

Also time for the obligatory "if the season ended right now we'd be in the playoffs" post.

Each game matters.  Big series with Giants.  Another noticeable series is Detroit vs Toronto.  :fatty:

Still quite a ways ahead in the WC, but Angels are losing.

I don't think so.  Looked like moose thought the throw in was going to be more off than it was.  He looked at the catcher backing up quickly last second and prob thought he was good.

Who would have thought we'd have the 3rd best team ERA in the AL starting this year with JGuts, Duffy off injury, Vargas, and Chen

This might be the second most important stretch of the rest of the season.

Dayton really put together a nice pitching staff this year. Dave Eiland has also done a great job keeping our young guns out of the ditch so to speak. Even Ned has done a pretty good job of managing the bullpen. Have to give credit where it's due, the Royals organization has pushed all the right buttons this year when it comes to pitching.

It's easy to manage the 8th and 9th innings when he has a couple of assassins to pitch those frames. And middle relief seems to have improved this year. Ned's main flaw with the pitchers is his tendency to leave struggling starters in too long.

27 of the last 32 times Duffy Vargas or Ventura have started the game, they gave up 3 ERs or less

Last 30 gms, KC gave up 16 and 10 once. Other 28 gms, they have allowed 81 runs (that's under 2.9 runs).

Since may 6.... Holland Davis and Herrera have a combined 1.07 ERA in just over 100 innings
