that's not true WildcatNkilt, we are spending quite a bit this year. Dayton has done a very good job building this team. if there's a problem, it's the philosophy of hitting approach, and i'm just not sure where that comes from.

that's true, he is ultimately responsible. it's so bizarre, it really is. that one graph that someone posted earlier with everyone's strikeout and walk rate really showed it. the royals were off by themselves in the no walk, no strikeout purgatory.

Also, the right move when Vargas comes off the DL is to find an eye hernia or something and put Guthrie on the DL. Our bullpen is overstaffed as it is.

Sometimes, when i'm running the kickball league, they go without a catcher. They just have the ref (me) throw it back. I'm hoping the umpire can do that for us.

Guys we didn't even consider that we could employ kickball strategy out there. Its so crazy it just might work. Throw in some red rover, a dash of HORSE, and we have ourselves a strategy that's going to revolutionize this crazy game.

these guys either need to go on another 10 game winning streak or just get it over with on a 10 game losing streak. they're teasing me, keeping me interested just enough because 'hey if we go on a bit of a run we're right there!'

If this has credibility, then my statement earlier about Glass being the biggest problem is validated.  If we don't make the playoffs (I'm holding out hope), I will be in full burn-it-down mode.

i'm stupid, just to get that out of the way.

BUT

this team's weakness is offense. it's all we talk about. lack of fire power. clutch hitting. no one produces. we don't score runs in bunches.

so why was our big move going to be acquiring a pitcher?
