If we make a playoff, we need to do 3 innings a piece with shields, Duffy, and Ventura. I do not want Shields past 3.

James is someone else's problem next year. I'm fine with turning his arm into a noodle.

We're gonna run Shields arm into the ground by the end of the year. Just keep throwing him out there, Ned. #contractyear #notourproblem

Hosmer's loss of the ability to recognize a strike is one of the biggest indictments on the Dayton Moore era.

I agree, but also swinging a bat live after a week break is definitely a challenge.

Not making excuses, but those are pitches he's also made hits before. He's the most unbalanced hitter on the squad.

I often wonder what Hosmer 's line would look like if he only swung at strikes. He'd probably hit 75 home runs and slug 1.250

Getting a hit on a bad pitch does not justify swinging at them. Eric swings at junk pitches constantly. Inevitably he'll get some hits on bad pitches.

Cf3 needs to apologize.

Actually he validated my point because he took a pitch outside the zone, forced Perkins to throw a strike and hit it. The hit was on a hitable pitch.

Or someone accidentally oops and finally threw him one over the plate and he took advantage. That happens to.

Yes Wacky but if he waits for that every at bat, he walks twice earlier in the game instead of striking out. Just to be clear, are you arguing that its an ok strategy for Hosmer to chase pitches outside the strikezone?

ChiSox destroy the Tigers, Seattle and Toronto win, the Yanks are beating the Rangers late...and we lose. No offense again.

We're now 3.5 back in the Card race.
