As much as I wanna give a crap it's not gonna happen.  Contenders don't get swept at home by the Astros.  Enjoy being disappointed by a bunch of overpaid pricks tho

Do some of you guys not remember where we came from? And that we have the highest payroll in team history? And that our record is better right now than it was a year ago?

Sweeps happen stupid.

At home to the worst team in baseball?  Jesus rough ridin' Christ.  No wonder this team never amounts to anything with dumbass fans like you thinking the waters are calm and it will EVENTUALLY happen

Yes clearly the problems the Royals are having are because of loyal fans.

Crazy that moose is hitting well in the minors, that's weird. Who would ever have thought he would do that?

Just recalled this morning, along with Bueno. Brooks sent back down and Valencia to the DL.

If Royals players would take roids they still wouldn't hit HRs.

The Royals were lucky to split this series (thanks to Reyes throwing error). The Royals have THE WORST GM & Manager in MLB hands down. Both Moore & Yost are idiots that are too stubborn. There is no natural leader in the clubhouse that is an everyday player, no position player is showing me that they give a damn. They have adopted Yost's attitude of "oh well they pitched better today we will get them tomorrow" & that is a loser attitude.

Yost has said that yelling at a player or the team doesn't do any good. That might be true but what difference is it going to make? The Royals are playing crap baseball right now, hell it might fire someone up to get yelled at. Yost is a loser manager & it has rubbed off on the players. He kept on making the excuse "oh the weather is cold", well that doesn't stop the other team from hitting HRs against the Royals. If it is cold in April & May what does Yost think playing in October & November will be like? Yost wouldn't know because he has never made the playoffs as a manager.

You're a fool if you think the players don't give a damn. "Leaders in the clubhouse" is one of the stupidest talking points in sports. Its just lazy talk show host cliche for people who are too lazy to think of real things to talk about with a team.

Agree with most of this. However, it's hard to say Salvy, Gordo and Cain don't give a damn, and its hard to say that Shields, Guthrie, Ventura, Duffy, Davis and Holland don't give a damn. That said, I have little hope for this team as long as Ned is anywhere near it.

Guys, i hate Ned, especially his game of hitting coach roulette. That being said, he's been fine with handling pitchers for the most part, and honestly a manager isn't going to make much difference on a team built without run scoring capabilities. Ned honestly hasn't made much of a difference one way or another this year.

His handling of pitchers has improved a bit this year, but we have to remember part of that is due to the fact that Davis and Herrera are pitching so much better this year than last (especially Davis). It's easy to handle guys when they are consistently pretty good.

Offense, of course, is a far different matter. Great hitting will make a manager look pretty good, especially when coupled with good pitching. I just don't think Ned will get anywhere even with improved hitting; his in-game decision making can be pretty bizarre at times.

Agreed, but there's not much a manager can do to get from 3 to 7 runs in a game is what I'm saying

I agree with that wholeheartedly. A legitimate and consistent power hitter (or two) would be nice, but that will come at a price. I suspect that price will include Shields and another pitcher sometime in July, and will require even more than that. Duff and Ventura should be off-limits as far as trading is concerned. Holland? Billy Beane theory says trade him (Billy believes there's always a stopper somewhere) but he's a KCR constant. I'd keep him.

All that changes, of course, if the Royals find themselves in the hunt for a playoff spot in late July. I'm sad to say I'm pessimistic.

I would hope that Dayton is prohibited from making any real changes to this roster unless we are legitimately in the playoff hunt at the break. I don't want him trading away any assets that the next GM would be able to use to build a solid team.

Maybe if the Royals keep hitting like crap Ned will let Eiland try being the hitting coach. Get them into the pitcher's mind, you know?
