I wish our guys would stop doing stupid hand signs every time they slap another single.

what if it was every double? i assume you'd let them do a thumbs up or a power clap in the event of a home run, no? where do you draw the line?

I'm more of an "act like you've been there" kind of person.  It's just so incredibly stupid to put moose antlers on your head after you slap a seeing eye single just past the second baseman.  You should run to first base and stand with a blank look like you don't care, and are even a little disappointed in your at bat.  That's what winners do.

i had to answer the kind of questions MLB players get asked for an entire 162 game season i would be a total dick head too. i have to change the radio station sometimes because i get so pissed off at their questions.

yeah, it would be very difficult as a professional baseball player to answer questions like "Mike, can you talk about those doubles you hit in today's game?"  I mean, If I were 25 year-old millionaire "power" hitter, I'd be such a dick if I had to spend 5 minutes after every game answerring questions about my hitting.  I'd be soooo pissed off at such stupid questions.  God, life would be so much easier for Moose if he just played in media-friendly cities like NYC, Boston, Philly, LA, Dallas, DC, etc.

No, i wouldn't be.  But, I'd sure as eff try to be super perfect and friendly if I were batting .161 with a .574 OPS.  In other words, the worst every-day hitter in the American League.  ya know?  Like, Miguel Cabrera can be a dick to the media if he wants.  The bat boy probably shouldn't be.  kind of a double standard thing.  ya know?  Like, good players ride at the back of the plane.  shitty players should just carry the bags and make sure the drinks are cold.

Moustakas could round the bases on all fours bellowing like a moose after every home run and I would be on board.  I love home runs, they're my favorite.

Belvis  thinks it's easier to be nice when you are on the brink of being sent down from the majors, maybe forever.

It's definitely not easier, but it's absolutely when you should be trying to put your best foot forward. For self preservation if nothing else.

Like, if you're in sales.  if you're the top producer in your office, maybe you can get away with kicking your feet up on the desk and sexually harassing your secretary.  If you're on the verge of being fired because you suck at sales, you likely can't act like the top-producer.  some might advise you to keep your head down and work harder at not sucking.

who's buck night'ing it tomorrow night with me, tinder girl, and tinder girl's sis?

I feel like, if I showed up, I'd be all "Hey 'blast! Oh, this much be tintergirl  :fatty:." Awkwardness would ensue and I'd eventually walk away feeling like an idiot.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

simple concept really.  if you suck at your job, be nice to people and try to go unnoticed.  Don't draw attention to yourself.  again.  simple concepts for simple people.

i agree, and Moose has aced that part of his job with flying colors. his interviews are relentlessly positive. boring and fluffy to the point of pointlessness. crash from bull durham would be proud. so when he actually saved the day and made a couple good hits, he mimics himself, saying the exact same thing he has been saying all season. and people go ape crap all over the place. i'm just so rough ridin' tired of even talking about it.

Dear Moose,

thanks for winning us that game and making sure we swept the Rockies. now do whatever the eff you want.

love,

mocat

I thought Moose's mushing of the media was pretty . If they're honest about it, Moose did them a favor by providing them something to talk about for the next couple of days. He was blowing off steam, and it wasn't that big of a deal in my book. That said, I do agree that this team/ franchise seems to have an unwarranted opinion that they are beyond reproach. I cringe every time Ned mentions the "cold weather" the Royals have played in, or he or Moore defend the Royals with any number of ridiculous excuses, or he defends some of his most asinine decisions with even more ridiculous excuses.
