HBBIQ Thread (Duke Edition)
« on: November 23, 2010, 12:10:04 PM »
Guys, here are a few things I think Coach Martin should try get through to the Adorablemens tonight:

1.) Shoot the 3 like we did last night. I hope Martin tells his guys that on all 3-point attempts, to try and really make them. 3's are better than 2's.

2.) Don't let Duke score. When we're on D, we really need to make sure Duke doesn't score 2 or 3 points when they have the ball (specifically 3).

3.) Don't travel. Need to make sure our guys know to dribble before they go.

4) Look behind you. There might be a guy that gets free that you should defend because one of your teammates was trying to steal the ball if it went into the air to his man.

i would really appreciate our basketball players making sure that they make the shots that they take from out side of the 3 pt arch

also if we could somehow force duke into making some mistakes, possibly in the form of turnovers, that would probably increase our chance of winning the game

Should I be worried about rebounding?  I heard Duke is pretty good on the offensive boards.  Thanks, I'll hang up and listen off air.

most important is having coach martin stress making freethrows to the team. i don't think he stresses this enough to the team or maybe they just don't listen. i also agree on the three pointers.

I'm hoping Spradling is told to work on his left-handed dribbling in the hotel room.  There's a good chance he'll need to go left, and if he practices this he should do well at it.

We need to remind Nick that he's probably going to decide to transfer next season so he needs to stop being good and certainly should tell coach that he's not interested in starting anymore.

Sorry fellas, if we don't score more points than them, I don't see how we pull this off.
Sometimes I think of the Book of Job and how God likes to really eff with people.
