On the Presbyterian game:

Quote from: Baldwinzag
Holy smokes -- Presbyterian is el fuego!

10-14 from 3pt!?!

No wonder they're keeping it close, plus K-State has been going 13 deep and obviously looking ahead to Monday night.

If they keep playing their 3rd string much longer, their going to flirt around with a potential upset.

I was kinda hoping they would blow-out this team and be on cruise control when we play them.

If anything, this type of game definitely got their attn, especially with their Coach, who could use a few hours(or days) in an Anger Mgmt class. Sheesh.

Not bad really, They shot well from 3 from 2 and from 1, we didn't, no biggie.  Their big guy could start for us, good for them, ck didn't play, bad for us.
Frank was more interested in finding someone to stop the big guy one on one, than he was stopping him at all cost, a teachable moment, kinda like a beer summit but not really.
hats off to the blue hose they played a nice game, I really wasn't all that appauled with our play, if both teams shot .50 from the field, .35 from 3 and .70 from the line, we win by like
thirty, the game was an abboration nothing more.
it’s not like I’m tired of WINNING, but dude, let me catch my breath.

Shooting percentage is influenced heavily by defense. The effort was an abberation (hopefully), but the game was what you would expect with the defense displayed by KSU. They actually shot free throws at a lower % against us than they have all year (they were 100% going into the game).

Most teams couldn't shoot those numbers with no defense at all :gocho:

Yeah, those dudes were unconcious from three.  Not that we couldn't have down a better job defending them but sometimes you just run into a team shooting like that.  At least we won.  We got all the benefits of an upset game (focus, shame, anger, etc) and none of the negatives.  As long as we beat Zaga, I'll be fine.  We beat Duke and move into the #1 ranking and I will have to change my pants.

They were 7-7 in free throws before Thursday. Not a very big sample size. (Last season they shot a more normal .696.)
