It's sad to think that he, like the driver, would probably have survived had he worn his seatbelt. I've never been in an accident, but as a younger person I definitely rolled the dice too much on seatbelting.
It's one of the dumbest risks imaginable. What do you gain by not wearing one? Although I imagine a seatbelt could be uncomfortable for someone really tall

I met a guy circa 2006 (my freshman year) who would buckle his seatbelt behind his back, just to stop the beeping. He was a total shithead, so that might have been an "ah ha" moment for me.

It's been so long since our bball team has been good that I never even thought about studs n duds for bball and didn't see it until just now.
