Not to be Captain Obvious, but we're clearly not the #3 team in the country right now. A key contributor from last year, Jamar Samuels, played only 11 minutes in the opener, and Curtis Kelly, after looking so spectacular during March last season, is deep in the doghouse and out of shape. I wish I could say I am shocked, but wasn't it clear from CK's past that he's not a choir boy?Jamar's situation is even more puzzling. Here I question Frank Martin's veracity more than anything else. To be candid, I think the talk about an eye injury is disingenuous at best, and at worst, a bald-faced lie. Maybe I am off-base on this, but I feel it needs to be said. I can tell you this: lying is never the answer, and it is certainly not tolerated in my household.Secondly - and I know this has been discussed before and re-hashed on occasion - during our game against James Madison I saw at least 3 or 4 occasions where I believe Frank Martin used expletives to get his point across. Admittedly, I am not a lip-reader, but you didn't have to be to see that he was using the "F" word. On many of these occasions, he was utterly lambasting a player on top of using expletives.I think we can all agree that Coach K is the best in the business, and our goal, ultimately, is to be Duke. At least I would hope we are trying to be as good as the standard-bearer in college basketball (the "low expectations" crowd need not reply). I've never seen Coach K blast a player with an expletive-laden rant or engage in outright lying when the media has legitimate questions. And, not surprisingly, his players follow his lead and play hard-nosed, team basketball. In contrast, our expected leaders are fading and our coach won't come clean regarding the problems in his program. It raises recruiting questions as well. Why are we chasing after guys like Curtis Kelly? If I was a coach, I'd be trying to do just like Coach K and pursue guys like Kyle Singler. I wouldn't even waste my time on transfers.Sorry if I'm ruffling your Cat fur, but I doubt I'm the only one with concerns at this point. I see other Top 10 teams delivering spread-crushing wins in their openers while we struggle with key guys on the bench, and it angers me. Leland

He can be a very good poster with good points of view, but this was not his best effort.

Agreed Leland has always been a pretty decent poster, but back in the day when he posted a lot, weird sarcastic posts like this from him weren't uncommon.
