Front rower here again, just to clear some things up. Usually  KSU Fan Experience (whom i happen to have friends in) takes care of the newspaper. I talked to my friend and he said they weren't supplying paper until the VTech game, So a few of my friends and I went around campus collecting newspaper from various sites including, the Union, Kramer, and the Derb. We then brought it in in transparent trashbags (to keep them dry, and allow security to check them, which they did). Then passed/put it out for fans to use.

We will never wave the wheat except to make fun of KU.
KSU's been doing the newspapers since Ahearn. Early 80's if not wel before.
The whoosh that everyone, including KU, does after made free throws started during Jack Hartman's years at Ahearn.
Weird Robert was walking under the basket waving his foam finger after a made free throw. The student section started copying (mocking Robert perhaps) and it quickly became the whole student section for all free throws. I had never seen it done anywhere before that moment, but you can see it on any college basketball game across the country now.
