I mean honestly, through the 45 page PDF it didn't occur that there may be a reason why a team that won team conference championships in all three major sports wasn't on it???

Apparently you can't fix stupid

I'm starting to think KU and ISU have never had a Titletown.  They don't seem to know very much about it.

Back-to-back bball titles in 2000-2001 didn't suck.

You know what does suck? KU's football program. Like one of the worst in D1.

You can make excuses for never having had a Titletown, or you can go out and get one.  Just decide that you will.

Hey Havs when is a realistic timeline for anything happening to JTS?

My guess would be 3-4 years. The stadium is going to be sold out for every game this season, but I doubt anything will happen unless it is full for a couple more seasons. Iowa State has a good number of donors, but the project needs one "big" donor to truly catapult the movement for expansion. Paul needs to win more or that donor won't come forward. I realize the general consensus of fans on this board is that overall capacity is an archaic way of measuring success, but when there is a stadium as bad acoustically as Jack Trice, it really needs that endzone bowled in with fans in the new seats.

I will agree with this unless we win 7+ games this year, then I see it happening sooner.

Any idea why you're planning to build a big upper deck of terrible seats in the endzone for the poors instead of seven decks of premium on the sideline?

Texas Christian University coach Gary Patterson has been hired as Kansas State's 34th football coach, multiple sources have confirmed to GoPowercat.com.  Patterson replaces Ron Prince, who was fired Wednesday. - Tim Fitzgerald   Nov, 7, 2008

The videoboard was cool for a year. Now its just an ugly metal erection.

The new bathrooms are still pretty cool though.

Then I guess the question you have to ask yourself is:  What can brown do for you?

A Flood Aggie thread regarding the Flood Aggie stadium where 25% of the people sit on grass, with Spracne ringing in with a dead horse phog.net talking point at the top of the board.

What? Weatherwax is hilarious.   :don'tcare:

AMES, Iowa - At 23-years-old, Mel Weatherwax was an avid college football fan, so avid that watching televised games wasn’t enough.  He wanted to see the action live, so he weighed his options.  As a full-time employee with United Parcel Service (UPS), multiple trips to Iowa City were too taxing.  Instead, he chose the convenience of a short trip to Ames.  It was that year, in 1973, that Mel attended his first Iowa State football game with a friend.  And after one game, he was hooked.

“When I was 23 I decided it was too difficult to go to Iowa City, so a friend of mine and I decided to go to Iowa State games,” Mel said.  “I started going in 1973 and immediately felt like we had much more in common with ISU fans.”

I love these quotes...possible things in common:

Closer proximity
Too lazy to become Iowa fans
Love for McDonald's color scheme
Mold connoisseur
Etc.
