the future is bright.

for KU and Turny Gill i would recommend giving him at least 6 or 7 years to make sure all those losers from the Mark Mangino era are gone.  just to make sure none of their bad karma is still lingering and extra 3 to 4 years might be needed.  patience is a virtue and things might get worse before they get better :(

I'm sure you said the same thing about Mangino when he went 2-10 in his first year at KU and lost to K-State 64-0.

i was right too.  and then you guys fired him.  great decision there BMWJhawk

Oh I see . . . so the cupboard really was pretty much empty then.

Well it didn't help that Jeff Spikes and Huldon Tharp both had season ending injuries before the season started.  Tharp was a freshman all-american at linebacker last year, and Spikes is KU's most physical o-lineman.  I wouldn't say the cupboard is completely bare, but it's bare in certain spots.

Ben remember in August when you were telling us, "the cupboard is far from empty"??

KU has some decent talent at the RB/WR/DB spots, but that doesn't win football games.  You need an o-line/d-line/QB to win at the Big 12 level... hell, any level for that matter.

apparently neither does going to bible study once a week, and being in bed by 10 pm but im sure it will work out with your stellar recruiting

Gotta find a way to get on cloud nine before losing to the bottomfeeder known as Iowa State this weekend.... I see how it is.

None of the guys who helped win the Orange Bowl are still on KU's roster.  Mangino didn't capitalize on the Orange Bowl win like he should have.  Look at KU's o-line/d-line/QB situation for f*ck's sake.

Winning does not help recruiting. The only thing that helps with recruiting is being good at recruiting.

The KSU and KU program have effectively swapped places from where they were 3 years ago. Remember when we sucked real bad at football, and the only enjoyment we got from the sport was when we won recruiting battles? Remember when Freemaw switched his commitment to the Khazzu Khats? I do. That was the higlight of 3+ football seasons for us. This is that moment for BMW and KU. Let him enjoy it. Congratulations on landing a  :star: :star: :star: :star: BMW!

I did, and was proven wrong.  I won't let Turner do it too.  I predict TG will be mopping the floor with OB in 4-6 years unless ugly racism pops up, in which case no coach will go to such a racist institution.

Mods, bump this or pin for when TG rolls KSU in 2016.

Guys, heard on the radio that some d00d named Bubba from Tulsa is a candidate for KU's AD.  A guy named Bubba pretty much has to throw the  :opcat: at KU over the top, killing(figuratively of course) Gill.

How long until he sees the writing on the wall?  I mean, KU is importing racists.

Could it be? Best to ever happen to TG?    :dunno:

A brief recap for those that are interested:

Mangino got to kansas and the cupboard was bare.  He went 2-10, but people in Larry were totally over the moon because they knew that they were going to win the Orange Bowl.  Then they actually won the Orange Bowl and "totally dominated" KSU in recruiting.  Now that they have those dominant recruits, the cupboard is not bare, it's bare-ish.  So when the time comes that they win another BCS bowl game, the cupboard will go from bare-ish to moderately stocked.  Then they will force their coach out, only to hire another up and comer who will quit after two weeks because he's spending 95% of his time redistributing cell phones.

Ok, every team deals with injuries though. We lost our best CB in training camp. Why even bother making excuses for this team anymore? :dunno:

Poor Beems.  Reduced to It's Not Apples To Apples comparisons on K-State selling out before KU, arguments that KU's football recruiting class would be as good as K-States if it weren't for a couple KSU commits, suffering through the worst football team since Terry Allen, K-State being the media darling while KU is mired in investigations into the school, administration and players.  We need to start one of those "It Gets Better" type websites where people from crap schools make videos about how their lives improved after they left college and found other interests and junk.
