I agree. I was like "get real, crackheads," but with this news gotta think we could take Philly, New York (if Walker's traded), New Jersey, New Orleans, Memphis for sure, aging Spurs, Seattle and any team in Canada.

Gotta figure we could take the Globetrotters too.  Pretty sure they arent in the NBA anymore but they are the best team in whatever league they are in.  They just couldnt match our intensity

Why all this talk about Kobe, LeBron, and Dwight Howard?  'ssClams says in the rough ridin' title "The bottom 3rd of the NBA"

Great point here.  Let's leave the K-State vs. the Top 3rd of the NBA in the K-State vs. the Top 3rd of the NBA thread.

Thank you. I was reading through this thread and I'm like are these guys really talking about us shutting down Kobe? I mean I bleed purple like the rest of you guys but these superstars like Kobe on the elite-tier NBA teams that have been in the same system for years and with mostly the same teammates are really gonna cause trouble for our Cats.

Taking my "purple shades" off for a moment, I'd say in a 10 game series against a team like the Lakers, we'd probably struggle to win two games, more likely only one. Honestly, I could even see us getting shut out. Now before you blast me just remember these are college kids, albeit many of them high-level NBA talents, but still kids going up against guys who play ball for a living.

I know we're all excited about the team this year but let's be careful to keep the discussion a little more levelheaded. Great thread idea though, definitely interesting stuff to think about.

The Condor would totally take kobe out of his game.  But there are other intangibles and I could see splitting with the Lakers.

after the impressive start that the Q@'s have gotten off too, i want to revise my earlier prediction.

i would now say that we would win half of the games we play against the bottom 40% of the NBA, upping the earlier prediction of the bottom 33%.

Pretty certain the Cats would take a 7 game series against the Heat.

Miami .571
KSU   1.000

I think it's clear they'd win at least 6/10 games.

I guess I'm just more of a realist. This team takes a max. of 3 out of 7 from the Heat. Shove your maths up your asses.

The Cats have incredible depth.  Last night our bench scored almost as many pts as our starters.  Last night, the Heat's bench scored 4 pts.  Game, set, match, KSU Cats.

3D technology is, similarly to math, a bunch of crap.
