How does he have D2 skills again?Damn it, now my post makes me look like a dumbass. Thanks jtksu for supporting me. No, your post was okay. Sprads hate at this point is unfounded. I believe he is gonna turn into one of those players opposing fans go, "He hasn't graduated yet???"

Sprads ain't going anywhere and I doubt Irving does. We're going to need all the guards we have next year. Reed already said he doesn't think he'll get a schollie. He can pay instate one year before he heads to the league. Hopefully Diaz goes prep for a year like JO did.
Unless Reed decides to go juco, I can't imagine he would go anywhere but MHK.

remind me, does the NCAA give a crap if the year off is spent enrolled or just rough ridin' around at home in pop's garage?
Quote from: CNS Casey on November 15, 2010, 09:59:49 AMremind me, does the NCAA give a cac if the year off is spent enrolled or just effing around at home in pop's garage?I believe once you start your first day of collegiate sports, your clock starts ticking. Which you have 5 years to play 4, with injuries and so forth. So he can eff around at home, but his clock is still rolling. Is this what you were asking?

I have always known it as "Division I is five calendar years within first full time enrollment." Regardless if you are in school or not.
Tennessee Tech coach Mike Sutton, who said he “looked forward” to having Mink on his team this season, turned over Mink’s college information to his rules compliance director, who, in turn, contacted the NCAA.The NCAA found a problem: Mink first played college basketball in 1955-56 for Lees Junior College of Jackson, Ky. NCAA rules allow players five years to play four seasons.Mink’s five-year window, according to the NCAA, started when he enrolled at Lees in 1955, making him ineligible to play at Tennessee Tech this year.“We got bad news,” Sutton said. “The NCAA said Ken would not be eligible to play for us or any other NCAA team because of their 5-4 Rule. The 5-4 Rule says you must complete your four years of college play within a five-year period. They say Ken’s 5-4 Rule clock started in 1955 when he was in junior college. We think his 5-4 clock should not have started until 2008, when he played for Roane State.”The 5-4 Rule was implemented by the NCAA decades after Mink first played college basketball. Sutton said “it is not fair to subject him to a rule that never existed when he first played college ball.”
