Yeah, the kid is a first round talent.  I'd say that's worth getting excited about.

So he was at SLU because....?

think Mangino only for basketball

I'll take it.

A lot of great players picked behind him.  Mocks this far out are redic though.

Amazing the kind of talent the Cat's are putting in the Big league's these days.  :gocho:
Fifteen minutes later, when the Kansas locker room opened its doors to the media, the Jayhawks were still crying. Literally, bawling. All of them. I've never seen anything like it, and I've seen devastated college locker rooms -- after losses in the Final Four, the national championship game -- ever

I think he said he had requested one or was about to request one but I haven't seen that a release has been granted yet.

But Willie Reed said he won't be back. He was released from his scholarship Thursday afternoon.
how much does this change things?  Could he be in at semester?

Still gotta wait a year to play, but he was expected to enroll/begin classes today.

how does that work with the Brown situation then?  I thought that if Tenn had released him he would have been able to get in this year?

Nobody was saying that, dumbass.  Had he gotten a release he could have gotten on scholarship but would still have had to sit the season.  The only way he could play immediately is if he was granted a special hardship which getting accused of assault and getting mad about the schools reaction prolly doesn't qualify him for.
