Removing the QB from the play entirely would be a bit silly, as it would tip your hand and allow the defense to adjust their look.

If the offensive set had Klein as the QB - split out, then Harper being the "wildcat" qb, it would provide a passing threat (harper) and a receiving threat (klein).  i'm actually surprised we haven't seen something like this.  at least get that f*cker on film.

Look at what you just wrote:  "removing the QB from the play entirely would be a bit silly"....does that apply to Coffman in a passing situation?

Pratice using this statement, it helps me.

"The reason we didn't (insert offensive set that makes ton of sense) is because Snyder didn't want to provide any film for the coach at (insert team on future part of schedule) to brek down and create a scheme to defeat.  He is very careful and smart."

We've given Harper the ball in several different ways and he yet to really do anything with it.  Maybe that's why he's not a starter for us, yet.

You just described 21 of our starters, with that first sentence.

I will take harper on the field with ball in his hands where ever i can rough ridin' get him.

Have you been impressed with him this season?
I've been happy when ever we get the ball in his hands.  I've been extremely disappointed with how much we get him the ball.  I don't recall a bad play he has made.

He was about a foot away from breaking a long one on one of his catches last thursday.  (his only catch?)

He'll should get many more chances to prove himself tonight with Smith out.  Quarles will likely be the guy Coffman looks to first in Smith's absense, but Harper will get multiple touches.

Also caught the TD.

The only thing Chris has done "wrong" this season was underestimate a tackler on a reverse in the 3rd quarter against UCF.

That's it.

I'm glad he should be used more now. Maybe it will clear the coaches' minds a little.

Remind them of how football is played.

With CarsCoff throwing him the ball? He may get several targets, but if the ball gets close enough for him to actually touch it multiple times, I'll be very surprised.

Coffman is far from great, but he's not nearly as bad as most make him out to be.  Really.

He really is.  I don't think I've seen him hit the receiver in stride yet.  His best passes (10+ yards down the field) the receiver has to adjust a lot to catch them.  I honestly don't think he can throw any better than me.

Gregory was better than Coffman... and Gregory was not Big 12 QB quality.

HE is horrible. I dont see anything that tells me he is a legit d1 qb. He has to be one of the worst we've had. Hell i would take Dylan Meir over Carson.. Dead or Alive.

Carson is without a doubt the worst starting QB in  either Snyder era.  Did anyone else see Lou Laf's qb Friday night against OSU?  He's twice the QB CCQ is.  How is that even possible?  There has to be a KS HS kid on campus that can sling it around better than Alfred E Newman.
