i dont think he is off the hot seat but the national media i have heard say he will get another year unless he wants to leave this year. since he has won enough over the years and with the AJ suspension that mumped them chances are he will be back next year. but im not sure if the local media feels the same. they still have to play florida and auburn this year maybe he has to win one of those games plus the others to save his job

I was thinking about that a couple days ago.  Didn't Harbaugh piss some people at Michigan off pretty bad a couple years ago?  Can't remember exactly what went down...

Tim Brewster . . . you don't have the nicest stadium in college football built for you and then start out 1-5 in the 2nd season in it after going 6-7 the year before.

Clemson and Dabo Sweeney . . . 3 straight losses.

Next in line despite just 1 loss . . . Rich Rod.

I would argue that RichRod has a few more losses to go before it gets too hot. All thanks to Denard Robinson. Dude is single handedly saving the Rod from old michigan booster vampire types that want his blood bad.

I'd take Rich Rod if he gets canned in a few years.  The dude thrives in major conferences where there's no actual pressure on him.

Many major donors are already pulling funding from the Michigan Athletic Department. It will likely be done at the end of the season... or sooner if it gets any worse. They don't like losing 3 in a row to Michigan State.

If Michigan cans him after he has clearly started to show improvement they are total fracking morons. Of course, if OSU abuses their rectums this year (and that will happen, cripes that D is bad) then it may not matter. 40+ point loss to OSU and I wouldnt be suprised to see Rod out on his ass.

Depends on the week. Post GTech, i was full bore kool-aid chugging. Post Baylor... well, it was post baylor.

I am of the school of thought that when you pull the trigger on hiring a coach, bro gets minimum 3 years.

But fracking RichRod marinating around in free agency would be mighty tempting. I dont have any personal knowledge, but I would say KU doesnt have the funds laying around to buy out the rest of Gill and then be competitive in offers to the Rod.

They probably don't.  Once the new AD gets in there and realizes how much money KU is hemorrhaging right now, I'd guess that the next football coach will probably come on the cheaper end of the scale.

One of the factors that makes me think Gill will get fired in three years is the fact that he's way overvalued in salary.    KU will need to start trimming the budget soon or their balance sheet will start looking like Colorado's.  A hire of a good assistant from somewhere will probably net them at least 500K-750K a year in the budget, and they'll probably get a better return on that money as well.

You usually post these (and other threads like this) week 1. Why did you wait until now?
Where did you get that overnight bag?

You can't say ku is hemorrhaging money.    If their FY 2010 books look like their 2009 and 2008 books, they're fine.    Everybody is making way to big a deal about their debt . . . until we see what their FY 2010 financial report looks like.

There are insiders at Michigan trying to sabotage Rich Rod . . . many of the blue bloods there don't want the guy.

He actually cheated by practicing too much or something.  It was pretty funny.
