No, but he's the worst defensive coordinator Snyder has ever had.  He's worse than Elliot.

Bringing back Cosh was, is, and will continue to be my biggest complaint of Snyder.  I'm not sure what he sees in him that other coaches like Saban, Holtz, etc. didn't.

The pursuit angles by the DB's the other night were extremely re-mindful of a Tibs coached defense.

The game the other night reminded me a lot of the 1995 game against ku, when K-State absolutely skull mumped the ku defensive staff (of a ku team that finished 10=2) . . . had them so bamboozled with formations that multiple times Matt Miller just took off running because they had no one there.

Thursday night was screaming for a press 4-3 type defense, with the safeties up close to the  line, instead he had them lined up 15-20 yards deep all night . . . but as I've said before, multiple schools have rented the Chris Cosh movie before and it always ends the same.   So it figures that OB would bring him back and it figures that when Koening left OB wouldn't go out and find another Co-DC.

and I'm guessing you all noticed that even when KState was facing 3rd and long that NU's defensive backs and safeties were lined up 5-7 yards max from the LOS.


We aren't a deep threat...we aren't a speed threat...and NU didn't care if we beat them deep. They were that confident they'd win. That's what really sucked.


Good NEWS! KU doesn't have any speed either. Woooo.

Just fyi, but i rewatched the game and our safties played 5-7 yards off the los on several plays, including the 80 yard td run.  Agreed that the pursuit angles were worse than awful and that Cosh is a total pos d coord.

Objectively speaking its not debatable at all.  Tibs never had and never will be a DC anywhere near a D1 program again.  Cosh may suck, but at least multiple different HC's have thought enough of him to give him a chance.  Objectively speaking:  compare their D1 results as DC and get back to me.

Nobody gives a crap what previous coaches thought of them.  I could care less if some other coach is dumb enough to hire Cosh.  Truth is, they're both dumbasses but Tibs seems slightly more so at this moment, with our toughest games ahead of us.  OK State is going to put up a million points on us.

In the first drive Thursday night, we get in a fourth and 2....we decide to go for it instead of letting our kicker attempt a 39 yarder into a very slight wind (first Ron moment).  Then, instead of using the "Heisman candidate," we ask our rough ridin' Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!) of a quarterback to "make a play" on the edge against a very, very athletic defense.  (second Ron moment).
