New mention(for me at least), Ben Dillard 6'2" 175 from Frisco, TX, runs w/Dallas Mustangs. Update from Iowa Rivals site in 5/10 mentions us a school of interest. Update from Rumble in Bronx linked below is free.

"Ben Dillard is the son of Iowa staffer Sherman Dillard, but he says that isn't a big deal in his recruitment. Dillard is hearing from Wichita State, SMU, Texas A&M, Iowa, Marquette, and Kansas State."

"Dillard is also someone who had his shot working, though he did more than just gun for deep. After hitting a few threes early in the first half, Dillard decided to use his two bounce game going to the rim. While that isn't his bread and butter, Dillard did get to the rim a time or two. Overall Dillard simply knows how to play, and while not an elite athlete with big time quickness, he simply knows how to be effective given his skill set."

There's a new Omari Lawrence article on GPC that says he would recieve a full ride and not walk on. So who is leaving to open up the extra scholarship?

Remember reading that he had a few credits to finish up in the summer.

Update from CU site(linked below) says we've offered Cannen Cunningham. He says KSU and UT are his 2 favorites at this point, even though UT has not offered yet.

Figgs doin work again, we're still after Luke Mergerson:

"Right now my top schools are Boston College, Iowa, Marquette, Bradley, Georgetown, Houston, SMU, and Kansas State," Luke listed.

Maybe he's a backup plan for Gipson and Cunningham?(If we even have room for those guys in the 1st place)

D'Angelo mania continues, I'll be really interested to hear how he does this weekend at the NBPA camp. Note there could be other KSU related info in the link below, I just haven't had time to dig through it all. Day jobs, can't live with 'em, can't live without 'em.

From Northstar hoops blog:

D’Angelo Harrison ’11, Dulles (TX), Franchize All Stars: Kansas State, Kansas, Oklahoma State, Baylor, Arizona State, Georgetown, Arkansas, Texas A&M, UTEP, SMU, and Houston
Offers: Oklahoma State, Arizona State, Arkansas, UTEP, SMU, and Houston
Favorites: “No, I’m interested in everybody.”
Note- Harrison, who said location is not a factor, plans to commit in “maybe August or September”.

D'Angelo Harrison, a 6'3 shooting guard, was one of the most impressive players that I saw all weekend. While he does not have the frame of an elite player, Harrison certainly plays like one. He is a phenomenal scorer, especially off the shot from beyond the arc. Harrison could use a few more pounds, but he looks like a top-notch prospect.

Seagears update from NC St site. No mention of KSU but he really doesn't give a complete list either. The new Dalonte(David Cox) and Rutgers have just jumped in with an offer. Highlight vid included in update.

Scout update linked below does mention KSU. Says he has offers from Missouri, George Mason, George Washington, UMASS, and Florida and interest from NC State, UCONN, UCLA, Kansas State, Georgetown, and DePaul among others. He backs off his previous assertion that Missour is his leader and says he wants to make a final decision around August/September. Highlight vid included in this update also.

It's that newly discovered curse of Melvin that Dalonte can't seem to overcome(Watkins was his HC at Charlotte).

Dalonte has a chance here to reverse a couple of bad trends, losing recruits to MU and breaking the DCA dryspell. Personally, I say offer Harrison, get him on board ASAP, and remove any drama from the situation but I would not be disappointed if we ended up with Seagears. Really looks fast, strong, and very athletic overall, which I know makes our staff

"D'Angelo Harrison, SG, Missouri City (Texas) Dulles- It wouldn't be a surprise if Harrison ended up leading the camp in scoring. Armed with a remarkably quick trigger, he's a scoring machine who needs little time, space or encouragement to let jumpers fly. He can get bumped off of his path and needs to add to his game off the dribble, but he can strip the nets with the best of them."

Angel Rodriguez update
Angel Rodriguez, a current Miami Tropics guard that K-State is actively recruiting for its 2011 class, is still leaning toward the Wildcats. But Alvarez says spending time with Clemente this summer has made Rodriguez grow even fonder of K-State.

“He really looks up to Denis,” Alvarez said of Rodriguez. “And the fact that he knows Frank is the guy who helped him is important to him. He’s leaning hard toward Kansas State. I would be in shock if he doesn’t go there.”

Does that mean Rodriguez will be verbally committing to Martin anytime soon?

“What will happen is, he’ll go see, touch and feel Manhattan first,” Alvarez said. “Once he gets to Bramlage Coliseum and does all the stuff he needs to do on an official visit, he’ll be able to give his commitment then in the early-signing period.”

boatright still mentioning.

Quote
Ryan Boatright, PG, Aurora (Ill.) East- Few guys in the country can match his quickness and explosion off of the dribble. He's little at about 5-foot-10 and 150 pounds soaking wet but he's tough as nails and doesn't let misfortune get him down. He can smoke jumpers from deep, is an electric finisher on the break , and shows signs as a playmaker for others. There aren't a lot of point guards left in 2011 and his recruitment will certainly benefit from it.

Ryan Boatright listed West Virginia, Wake Forest (said he had an offer from old staff but didn't know about new one), Miami, Kentucky, Kansas State, DePaul, Baylor and Tennessee.
