If Jones comes, does that mean Nick or Myles is gonzo?

Or both... :peek:

Jones did have quite a few quality programs recruiting him.  Hell, didn't Ol' Roy even make a trip out to Liberal to see him?   And the Nick/Jones comparisons don't see very good to me.  Jones (from what I've seen) seems to be much more free wheeling and active than Nick.  Maybe Tavious is a better comparo?   Regardless, Jones isn't a bad pickup but I don't think swapping him for a Nick or Irving makes much sense.  Maybe Jones plays great D but I certainly didn't see that from him at the JUCO level.

FWIW, Watson is ranked #43 on JucoJunction. Jones is unranked, which seems weird to me if he's as good as reported.

yeah i wouldn't worry much about that. They have guys in their top 20 committed to absolute crap schools while jones had better options than 90% of them.

The Juco Junction Top 150 is usually weird.

Asprilla was #2.

Blake Young was #8.

yeah. it literally means nothing, and i'm not just saying that because they didn't list a k-state recruit.

Not sure where it goes, if it has been mentioned, or if it matters, but NC State's Ryan Harrow is transferring.

That's the kind of guy I could get behind running a guy off for.

he's blake young

That's fair.

that's depressing.

And that Blake Young underachieved a bit given his status. Of course it was easy to get excited with the quotes from his coach, Art Underwood.

Blake's knee injury didn't help.  IIRC, he had it scoped mid season and played pretty soon after.

Jones, a native of the Chicago area, was named the Jayhawk West Conference Player of the Year after averaging 18.9 points at Seward C.C. this season. He chose the Wildcats over Arizona State, Marquette, West Virginia and Oklahoma.

"As far as junior college guards go, Jones was one of the big guns still left on the board," ESPN's Dave Telep said. "Kansas State worked his extremely hard and fended off plenty of competition for him."

Some good offers there.

I don't buy most of those good offers fwiw

Every one of those teams mentioned (minus ASU) was in attendance to watch him play in Dodge City not so long ago... I would say its fairly legit...

I can assure you that, on the day he committed to KSU, he did not have a legit scholarship offer on the table from most of them.

Updated Rivals 150. Gipson and Diaz with slight dip to 147 and 148, they were at 142 and 145 respectively.
Effin Colorado with Cain and Dinwiddie  :curse:

Yeah, I think he dropped about 15 spots.
